Building champions for 50+ years
Brampton’s home for tackle football. 100% volunteer-run. Powered by parents, coaches, and a community that shows up.
BMFA by the numbers
Brampton’s home for tackle football since 1973
The Brampton Minor Football Association ("BMFA") has spent five decades doing one thing: giving kids in Brampton a real shot at the game of football — on a real field, with real coaches, in a real league. Every kid who’s ever pulled on a Bulldogs jersey has done it because somebody’s parent stayed late, somebody’s neighbour showed up to coach, and somebody’s family wrote a cheque to keep the program alive.
BMFA is a registered not-for-profit operating under the Brampton Bulldogs brand. We field competitive teams across four age divisions in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL), and we run a Saturday house-league program at Infinite Sports for younger athletes and first-time players. Both programs are built on the same standard: technique first, accountability always, and a culture that treats every athlete like they belong to something bigger than themselves.
Mission & values
We’re here to build champions. On the field. Off the field. In the community. That’s not a slogan — it’s how we make decisions about who coaches our kids, what teams travel, and where program dollars go.
On the Field
Coach-led practices with real install. Position-specific instruction starting at U-12. Athletes leave BMFA prepared for high-school, junior, and university football — not just “they played as kids.”
Off the Field
Standards that travel with players after they hang up the cleats: preparation, accountability, respect for teammates and officials. We don’t hide kids from the work. We coach them through it.
In the Community
Fee assistance for families who need it. Volunteer pathways for parents and alumni. Partnerships with local businesses who understand that supporting youth sports is supporting Brampton.
About our board
All BMFA executive members are volunteers — parents and community members who give countless hours to ensure every athlete has the best possible experience. Our board is accountable, transparent, and committed to making youth football accessible to every family in Brampton.
